Hey there! I am Marta and I come from Orihuela, a small town in the sunny province of Alicante, right on the Mediterranean coast and also the birthplace of the famous poet Miguel Hernández. As a small kid, I fell in love with the English language and discovered the magic of learning languages, so soon after it became clear to me that I wanted to make a profession out of it. And so was it! Since 2013 I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Alicante, where I also took up German and Italian. In the same year I also got my accreditation as a sworn translator and interpreter for English. However my passion for languages goes beyond the spoken word, as I also enjoy diving into the nuances of the culture and customs behind them. After completing my degree, I set out to find new fulfilling experiences and spent some years living and working in Ireland, England, and Germany. In 2020 I made the next move and decided to start a new life in the charming city of Vienna, where I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in bilateral interpreting.
I joined the elebe team just a few months ago and I am more than happy to assist our students with any questions or concerns they may have.
But life is not just about working and perfecting languages, so in my free time, you will find me sipping on a freshly brewed cup of coffee, exploring new restaurants, or wandering the streets of Vienna.
